Our terms & conditions

Please read our T&Cs/ Code of Conduct before booking to ensure this is the right site for you

By confirming your booking you are agreeing to the terms set out below.

We want every visitor to be able to get away from the hustle and bustle and reconnect with nature in our rural location, therefore we ask our guests to agree to a code of conduct to maintain the peaceful ambience of our site and the surrounding area.

We are an adult-only site and all guests must be over the age of 18. The lead person on the booking must ensure that all members of the party also understand and agree to abide by our code of conduct and T&Cs.

We only allow two people per pitch and a maximum of two pitches per group.

Please check in between 2pm and 7pm. If you are planning to arrive after this time please let us know at the time of booking. If you are delayed on the day of arrival we would be grateful if you could keep us updated on your estimated arrival time.

Please vacate your pitch by 11am on day of departure and ensure all rubbish and recycling is placed in the bins provided.

Noise can travel for miles in the open countryside, so please respect other campers and the peaceful ambiance of the area by keeping noise to a minimum, particularly between the hours of 11pm and 7.30am. No amplified music of any kind is allowed at any time.

Please note we are in the centre of a farming community. In the Spring and Summer the surrounding fields are filled with lambs and crops of wheat and barley. Please note that from time to time there may be noise from agricultural machinery.

Dogs are not permitted in the furnished bell tents. Up to two well-behaved dogs are allowed on the bring your own tent pitches but you must notify us at the time of booking. Due to the close proximity of sheep and lambs it is imperative that dogs are kept on a lead and under control at all times, and you must clear up after them and place poo bags in the rubbish bins provided. Please note that many of the local footpaths are through livestock fields and dogs will also be required to be on leads on these paths.

The meadows are car-free and cars must be left in the designated parking area which is a short walk from the pitches. We provide wheelbarrows to transport your kit, and if you need any extra help we’ll be happy to assist.

We do not accept day visitors to the site.

We want you to have a wonderful time at our site, so please do let us know immediately if anything isn’t right and we will do our utmost to correct it. We live at the site so we are always on hand to help with problems or give recommendations on local activities – just ask!

Use of fire pits:

Campfires can be an enjoyable part of the back-to-nature camping experience, but to ensure everyone’s safety we ask that you follow our campfire guidance:

Fire pits can be provided but must be used in the designated area on your pitch to protect the grass. Please only use wood purchased from us. We ensure that our wood is sustainably produced and locally sourced to protect the environment as much as possible.

You are welcome to bring your own barbecue but it must be off the ground. We do not allow disposable barbecues as they are incredibly bad for the environment. We do have a couple of gas barbecues available to hire which includes gas and cleaning. Please ask us for more info.

To comply with our insurance terms and conditions, when using a fire pit you must agree to appoint a competent individual, who isn't under the influence of alcohol or drugs, to be responsible for the safe use and extinguishing of the fire. By hiring a fire pit you agree to abide by these safe usage terms and conditions.

In periods of very dry/ hot weather we reserve the right to remove the use of fire pits to protect the environment.

No fireworks, sparklers, Chinese lanterns, drones or similar are allowed on site.

Payment and Cancellation:

A deposit of 15% is payable at time of booking and the balance is payable 28 days before. Both are non-refundable.

We do our best to ensure the site is safe and secure, however you are responsible for your own personal safety and the security of your belongings. We do not accept responsibility or liability for any damage, loss or theft of personal belongings during your stay.

Being in close contact with nature does bring risks. There are birds, wild animals, insects and plants all around. Please take care of yourself and respect the wildlife. We will not be responsible for injury or illness due to stings or bites that you or your party may sustain.

We reserve the right to ask anyone not complying with the above to leave the site immediately and no refunds will be given.

We really appreciate you reading our code of conduct. What it really comes down to is being responsible and respecting other people and the environment, and we put this guidance in place to ensure everyone can enjoy our site and surroundings at its best. What we want most of all is happy campers!
